Change I Wish to See/Be
Sharing small examples of how others are trying to make the world a better place
Beginnings are hard.
A blinking cursor on a fresh blank page can be intimidating for even seasoned writers. Here are some tips from our Partnerships team on how to go about your first Substack post:
1. Why this, why now
Why? Because I hate that I have to choose one side or the other. I’d prefer to live in the middle, where 80% of us are all working toward the same goals of loving our family, working hard and trying to make the world a better place.
2. What kind of community are you looking to build here
I want to build a community where the question everyone asks everyday when they wake up is: what can I do today to make the world a better place?
3. Be specific
Readers of my substack can expect a weekly “share” of something I have seen that inspired me and may inspire others.
4. Use an image and “subscribe” buttons
5. Ignore our advice
There is no one true way to go about building a Substack. This is your playground, experiment with it. If you’re having fun, your readers will too.
(But trust us on the “subscribe” buttons!)
